Recently, dozens of RT and RW heads visited the City Council to report their unhappiness with the obligation to report the residents’ complaints via the Qlue application three times per day. The chiefs also slammed Jakarta Governor ‘Ahok’, whom they called a “dictator”, for forcing them to adopt such an inconvenient policy.
In the other hand, Ahok said that the reports through Qlue would show that they were working to serve and monitor their respective areas, as the city now applied pay for performance salary.
Reposts through Qlue help the administration supervise the performance and accountability of RT and RW heads who respectively earn RP 975,000 and Rp 1.2 million monthly.
In corporation, pay for performance salary is not only creating transparency and to make things fairer for individual employees, but also offers many more benefits. Research suggests that pay secrecy may actually reduce employee performance, while transparency improves both output and effort – and the studies show that top performers are particularly affected.
My research is also indicates that employees who believe they are fairly paid are more engaged, are less likely to quit, experience less stress at work, feel healthier physically and psychologically, and are more satisfied with their personal life.
It’s clear that keeping transparent and fair salary related to engagement and increase performance. In this case, if it is not about stupidity (politics) and laziness, I still don’t get your points, Pak RT?
